Speak truth but politelyसत्यम् ब्रूयात प्रियम् ब्रूयात
Speak truth, talk sweetly.
Do not tell bitter truth,
but do not also tell lies.
--says a famous Sanskrit subhaashit.
Is it possible to follow this advice all the time?
There are circumstances in our daily life when we are forced to compromise.
We have to face accute embarassment if the lie is exposed.
Relations are spoiled by speaking out unpalatable facts.
But some people find a way out and avoid telling unpleasant truths as well as
unsustainable bluffs.
They always talk positive.
Praise good qualities of others.
Do not complain about difficulties.
Take life as it comes with a smile.
That is the secret of keeping people in good humour.
Do not tell bitter truth,
but do not also tell lies.
